The Institute of Jamaica is a state cultural agency founded in the nineteenth century to encourage literature, science and art, and now runs several museums and research collections. Its divisions include the Natural History Museum of Jamaica, the National Museum Jamaica and the African Caribbean Institute of Jamaica.
