Portmore City Municipality

The Portmore City Municipality operates as the local governance authority for the municipality of Portmore in St. Catherine, managing municipal infrastructure, community development, and local urban planning. Established to serve one of the largest residential urban centers in the English-speaking Caribbean, the council governs local land-use planning, commercial licensing, public market operations, and municipal sanitation services. By advocating for parish status, and improving drainage and roads, the local government supports the rapid socio-economic expansion of the community.
