Ink & Aqua
Every component in CaribSalaries is defined here first. Colour resolves through CSS variables only — the default Tailwind palette is stripped out at the theme layer, so bg-blue-500 does not compile. Aqua is reserved for data: bars, pills, links and stat figures. Buttons are ink.
Use the theme toggle in the header to check every block in dark mode, and narrow the window to 375px to check the mobile layout — that is the layout each component is written for first.
Colour
Locked palette. Any new pairing must be checked for WCAG AA contrast before it ships.

Salary figures on this site are self-reported and always shown with the number of reports behind them, so you can judge how much weight to give them.
Small print and helper text.
Tabular numerals
Every figure carries data-numeric so digits align down a column.

Cards
Surface fill, 1px border, 12px radius. Shadow appears on hover for cards that are links — never at rest.
Static card
Default resting state, no shadow.
Interactive card
Lifts on hover.
Badges & tags
"Paid in USD" is a solid fill — never a soft tint. Gold is reserved for Life at the Top and is used nowhere else.

Benefits checklist
The 13 launch benefits. Read from the benefits table — never hardcoded in a component.
Flags
Real SVG flags from flag-icons at one fixed size. Emoji flags are never used — they render inconsistently across platforms.
Form controls
One control height (44px) so touch targets stay comfortable at 375px.

Salary display
The one component every salary on the site goes through. It encodes the honesty rules, so they cannot drift between pages.

Ad slots
Dimensions are reserved from day one so nothing shifts when ads go live. One leaderboard per page, never inside a salary block, never between a salary figure and its reviews.
