Bartenders make and serve drinks, manage stock and pour cost at the bar, and carry a good deal of the guest experience in a resort setting. Bartending certification from HEART/NSTA Trust or a hospitality school is common, and the better-paid resort posts expect real cocktail range. All-inclusive resorts and hotels are the main employers, with restaurants, clubs and event caterers making up the rest.
