Civil engineers design and supervise roads, drainage, water systems, buildings and coastal works, and carry responsibility for what gets certified and built. An engineering degree from UWI or UTech is required, with professional registration needed for design certification and senior site roles. Consulting practices, contractors, the roads and water agencies, the National Works Agency and parish councils are the employers.
