Customs officers assess and collect duty on imports, examine cargo and baggage, and enforce prohibitions and restrictions at the border. CSEC passes are the minimum and an associate or bachelor's degree is common, followed by training at the customs agency's own school. The national customs agency is the employer, working across sea ports, airports, courier hubs and bonded warehouses.
