Role

Guidance Counsellor

1 report across 1 company

Guidance counsellors work with pupils on behaviour, wellbeing, subject choices and career decisions, and are usually the first referral point when something is wrong at home. A degree in guidance and counselling or psychology with a teaching background is the normal requirement. Secondary schools are the main employers, with primary schools, tertiary institutions and youth agencies also recruiting.
