Hotel managers run the property - rooms, food and beverage, staffing, budget and guest recovery - and answer for occupancy and margin. A hospitality management degree from UWI, UTech or a regional hotel school is the usual route, built on years of departmental experience. The large all-inclusive resort groups dominate regional demand, alongside business hotels in the capitals and a growing set of boutique and villa operators.
