Interns work a fixed placement, usually while studying or immediately after, taking on real but bounded tasks under supervision. Placements are generally tied to a UWI, UTech, NCU or CMU programme requirement, and pay ranges from a stipend to a near-graduate salary depending on the employer. Banks, outsourcing firms, technology companies, engineering practices and government agencies run the largest structured programmes in the region.
