Physical therapy interns complete the supervised clinical placement their degree requires, assessing and treating patients under a registered physiotherapist. The placement is part of a physiotherapy degree at UWI, UTech or an accredited school and precedes registration to practise. Public hospitals and rehabilitation units host most placements, with private clinics and sports organisations taking the rest.
