Sales representatives sell into a territory or account list, take orders, chase collections and carry a target that usually drives part of their pay. A diploma or degree in business or marketing is common, and a driver's licence is close to universal in the requirements. Distribution and manufacturing companies employ most of them, alongside telecoms, insurance, pharmaceutical and industrial suppliers.
